Terms of Service

Welcome to Kindo. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our mobile application and web platform (collectively, the "Service"). By using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Kindo, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Kindo provides:

  • A mobile application for parents to track childcare expenses and earn cashback rewards
  • Receipt scanning and processing for expense verification
  • A web portal for employers to manage childcare benefits for their employees
  • Gift card redemption for accumulated cashback rewards

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Subscription Plans

Kindo offers auto-renewable subscription plans that provide access to premium features including cashback on childcare expenses. Subscription details and pricing are displayed in the app before purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew each billing period unless cancelled.

4.2 Billing

Subscriptions are billed through Google Play (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS). Payment processing is handled entirely by these platforms according to their terms.

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings. Cancellation must be made at least 24 hours before the end of your current billing period. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds will be provided for the current billing period.

4.4 Refunds

Refund requests are handled according to Google Play or Apple App Store policies. Please contact the respective store for refund enquiries.

5. Cashback and Rewards

5.1 Earning Cashback

Subscribed users may earn cashback on eligible childcare expenses by submitting valid receipts through the app. Cashback rates and eligibility criteria may vary and are displayed in the app.

5.2 Redemption

Accumulated cashback can be redeemed for gift cards from participating retailers. Minimum redemption amounts may apply.

5.3 Verification

We reserve the right to verify the authenticity of submitted receipts and may reject or reverse cashback for fraudulent, duplicate, or ineligible submissions.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, fraudulent, or misleading receipts
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent limits
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Kindo and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. User Content

By submitting receipts and other content to the Service, you grant us a licence to use, process, and store this content for the purpose of providing the Service. You retain ownership of your content.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kindo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
